Built Up Powder Coated Letters

  • £0.00

Extremely durable signage with impressive impact

Powder coating built up letters and logos can be achieved on materials such as de-scaled 304 or 316 grade Stainless Steel or Aluminium. This method of painting promotes an extremely hard wearing and immaculate finish, that really does stand the test of time.

  • Powder coating produces a coat twice as thick as normal paint
  • Does not contain harmful chemicals and solvents or volatile organic compounds (VOC) that are often found in wet paint
  • Economically beneficial - Powder coating has a transfer efficiency of 60-80% as opposed liquid paint
  • RAL or BS Colours - A wide range of colours are available to colour match

This method of painting is created with a polyester or epoxy powder, which is then heated to fuse into a protective layer. Powder coating is also used on heavy duty plant equipment and machinery to ensure longevity and a protective outer layer that can last for longer periods of time.

The most common way of applying the powder coating to metal objects is to spray the powder using an electrostatic gun, or corona gun. The gun imparts a positive electric charge to the powder, which is then sprayed towards the grounded object by mechanical or compressed air spraying and then accelerated toward the workpiece by the powerful electrostatic charge.
